Current Beta Test Programs
DataBackup for BlackBerry® Smartphones
It is now very easy to backup the personal data on your BlackBerry® to the SD Card. An installed microSD card is required.
New features since version 0.0.1 (BETA 1):
- Important Notice: This is a very early BETA version. Data integrity can NOT be guaranteed!.
- Backup: Contacts from Address Book to SD Card.
- Restore: Contacts from SD Card to Address Book.
New features since version 0.0.3 (BETA 2):
- Memo Backup.
- Memo Restore.
- Type Selection: choose “Memos”, “Contacts” or both for backup and restore processes.
- Restore List: shows all previously created backup files for easy selection and restore.
- Progress Bar: shows the progress during backup.
- Unicode support: Foreign language characters like Chinese, Japanese and others are supported during backup and restore process now.
New features since version 0.0.4 (BETA 3):
- Tasks backup & restore.
- Calendar Events backup & restore.
- Emails backup & restore.
- Restore List: shows all previously created backup files for easy selection and restore.
- Backup location: choose the backup directory.
- Backup medium: media card and internal memory supported.
- Restore Detection: automatic detection which content is in a backup.

Network Traffic Control for BlackBerry® Smartphones
It is now very easy to track the network traffic your device consumes per day or per month.
New features since version 0.0.4 (BETA 1):
- Important Notice: This is a very early BETA version. Data integrity and accuracy can NOT be guaranteed!.
- Tracking Traffic: Tracking the network needs to be activated manually. Note: only the amount of traffic is tracked. No traffic content is tracked at any time.
- Daily Traffic: On the main screen you can see the daily traffic.
- Monthly Traffic: Via “menu » Monthly traffic” you can view the monthly used up traffic (full month is only shown when traffic tracking was activated from the first onwards).
New features since version 0.2.6 (BETA 2):
- Completely re-designed main screen with more information about your data traffic:
- Radio traffic in, out and total today
- WiFi traffic in, out and total today
- Radio traffic in, out and total this month
- WiFi traffic in, out and total this month
- Traffic separation* between WiFi usage and data plan (network carrier) usage
- Billing setup
- Over-usage alarm (de)activation
- First day of month of your telephone bill (this helps to calculate charges within a billing cycle)
- Packages traffic (i.e. you have a 10 MB BlackBerry® Data Plan)
- Price per KB thereafter (i.e. traffic charges when you use more than 10 MB of your data plan)
- Maximum traffic fee (i.e. if you are OK to spend $10 on traffic more per month, you will get a notification when your monthly traffic is over $10)
- Global over-usage notification
- Homescreen notification icon: You will now see an “over-usage” icon in your BlackBerry® homescreen, you are over your monthly traffic maximum.
- Global dialog notification: Whatever you are using right now and you exceed the traffic limit, a dialog will pop up and show a notification about traffic “over-usage”.
- Runtime improvement: Network Traffic Control now runs in background without program icon. This saves a lot of resources and eventually makes your device faster.
- Minor bug fixes
* Traffic separation: Network Traffic Control treats all traffic that occurs while WiFi is on and the BlackBerry® device is connected to a WiFi hotspot, as WiFi traffic. All traffic that occurs while the device is not connected to a WiFi hotpsot is considered to be radio traffic (which counts into your data plan). As there is no programming interface for apps developers to determine with 100% certainty that the current traffic indeed went over WiFi or radio, there might be slight differences between your telephone bill and Network Traffic Control’s output. However, extensive tests have shown that this difference is considerably small and negligible.

On Device Ringtone Generator for BlackBerry® Smartphones This small app can create a new ringtone directly on your BlackBerry. The program is still in an early beta stage. Current features are:
- Easily create a ringtone on your BlackBerry® Wireless Handheld.
- Save ringtone to: internal memory or SD card.
- Save memory by using the highly compressed AMR audio file format.
- Git your ringtone the name you want to.
- Very easy integration! Just select the ringtone in your profile setting.
- Get feedback on how long you are recording your current ringtone.
- Playback already recorded ringtones.

- Space bar handles start/stop functions for record and playback.
- Minor bug fixings in ringtone listing and not user-recognizable areas.
